Turmeric

Turmeric: Aim to eat ¼ tsp per day.

Turmeric contains curcumin, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. When put to the test, a small pinch of turmeric consumed daily was found to reduce free radical damage by 50%.

Reducing free radical damage leads to reduced oxidative stress or reduced damage to your telomeres/DNA. This will result in you living healthier for longer (not to mention slow down the formation of wrinkles and aging skin/hair). Kick those free radical OUT! Eat yo Turmeric!

I personally put 1/4 tsp of turmeric in a shot glass of water first thing in the morning and drink that before anything else! You can put turmeric in smoothies, on baked vegetables, or just sprinkle on top of your meal for that day. Give it a try!
